  • Coppins announces retirement from Grand Prix racing
    LIEROP (THE NETHERLANDS), 4 September 2010 – One of the icons of the FIM Motocross World Championship, Joshua Coppins announced today during a press conference at the Grand Prix of Benelux that he will put an end to his 17 year long Grand Prix career at the end of the 2010 season, which will include also the Red Bull FIM Motocross of Nations by the end of the month in the USA. The New Zealander has taken no World Titles but won a total of 11 Grand Prix’s in the MX1 class.

  • Latvian Grand Prix confirmed until 2013-MXoN in 2014
    LIEROP (THE NETHERLANDS), 4 September 2010 – During the 14th round of the FIM Motocross World Championship in Lierop, Youthstream and the Baltic Cup Foundation renewed their agreement for the organization of the Latvian Grand Prix until 2013. In 2014 instead the country is set to host the FIM Motocross of Nations.

  • Nagl and Paulin back on pole at Lierop-Nilsson takes Veterans World Cup
    LIEROP (THE NETHERLANDS), 4 September 2010 – In the woodland tree lined sandy track of Lierop Max Nagl and Gautier Paulin were the fastest riders in the MX1 and MX2 respectively. For both young talents is their second Lovemytime Pole Position Award of the season and both are confident to be at the top of the rostrum after tomorrow’s races.

  • Last 2010 pole for Jeremy Delince and Steven Lenoir
    GENEVE (SWITZERLAND), 4 September 2010 – Two big doubts will finished tomorrow - who is new FIM MX3 World Champion and who will take UEM EMX2 European Champion title. Leading EMX2 rider Steven Lenoir (Vamo racing) started the weekend with the qualifying win while MX3 leader Carlos Campano (Team Yamaha Andalucia) finished fourth in the Qualifying practice.

  • Yamaha unveils DP19 Design Competition winner
    Yamaha announced today that Italian Michele Valzelli and his design won the DP19 Design Competition, the contest launched in June by Yamaha Europe to involve the fans in designing David Philippaerts’s race gear graphics for the GP of Benelux.

  • SCOTT launches 2011 Hustle MX Goggle with new SCOTT Fit System Technology
    SCOTT presented the new HUSTLE MX goggle featuring the patent pending SCOTT Fit System technology. GP winners Gautier Paulin and Max Nagl, also attended the presentation as SCOTT backed riders.

  • Brazilian Antonio Balbi takes part in Italian Grand Prix at Fermo
    The 2010 FIM Motocross World Championship is getting to its end and Fermo is the venue chosen to celebrate the last Grand Prix of the season on the September 12 weekend. For such special occasion, Brazilian Antonio Balbi Jr will take part in the Italian GP and will fly direct to Denver afterwards to represent his country in the 64th edition of the Red Bull FIM Motocross World Championship.

  • Road 2 Recovery Foundation’s goal to raise $1M for Spinal Cord Research
    In less than a month time the 64th edition of the Red Bull FIM Motocross of Nations will be celebrated in the Thunder Valley track in Denver, USA, and among the numerous stands at the venue there will be the Road 2 Recovery tent. The American non-profit organization, which raises money for spinal cord research, has established a challenge for former Motocross Champion Jimmy Button and his trainer Cory Worf that consists on cycling 2428 miles from San Diego, CA, to Daytona Beach, FL. Their goal is to raise over $1M to be donated to Dr Hans Keirstead at Reeves Irvine Research Centre in Irvine, CA.

  • Kawasaki Racing opens workshop doors
    Kawasaki Racing opened the doors of its workshop in Schijndel (Holland) today to let the media see what is the core of the MX1 Factory Kawasaki Motocross Team. Under the guidance of factory riders Xavier Boog, Sebastien Pourcel and Jonathan Barragan, the media had a complete tour of Kawasaki Racing’s base still hosting the spirit of Jan de Groot, who previously owned the team as well as the workshop.

    The Motocross Commission of the Swedish Motorcycle and Snowmobile Federation (SVEMO) announced that the Team Sweden competing in the 2010 Red Bull FIM Motocross of Nations in Thunder-Valley-Denver, USA, on September 25-26th includes Tom Söderström in MX1, Fredrik Norén in MX2 and Alex Eriksson in the Open class.

  • Gozzini delights Italian fans with first GP victory and Red Plate in Sicily
    TRISCINA (ITALY), 29 August 2010 – It was an excellent weekend for Davide Gozzini after winning his first GP of the season and becoming the new FIM SuperMoto World Championship leader. Second was Thierry Van Den Bosch and third was Andrea Occhini, who was on the podium for the first time in his professional career. Thomas Chareyre took the Superpole, but was just fourth due to a DNF in the first race.
